Job opportunities

The Image Department of Multitel asbl is currently recruiting two computer vision researchers, in the fields of pattern recognition and machine learning applied to intelligent video surveillance.
—-
One position is to be conducted in the framework of the FP7 European project VANAHEIM (http://www.vanaheim-project.eu/) on video surveillance system enhancement through human-centered monitoring. The goal of the position is to develop new algorithms for crowd monitoring, event detection applications and space occupancy analysis. Research developments will be evaluated and integrated in Turin and Paris metro CCTV systems. Experience on video surveillance applications development/integration is an asset.
—-
The second position is to be conducted in the framework of the National project Secure-WMS, aiming at developing a Warehouse Management System (WMS) integrating IVS (Intelligent Video Surveillance) and RTLS (Real-Time Locating Systems) functionalities to improve security. The successful candidate will investigate Mutli-Camera Tracking (MCT) systems dedicated to warehouse environment, and deploy/evaluate the resulting system in a real-scale warehouse pilot site. Experience on multi-cameras/-objects tracking is an asset; French speaking is a big plus.
—-
Ideal candidates should be self-motivated, hold M.Sc., Ph.D. or equivalent in computer vision or related fields, and have strong programming skills in C/C++. Experience in applied research (prototype integration, real-scale evaluation) is a plus. Starting date is immediate, type of position and salaries upon experience.
