Other R&D activities

The activities in the Applied Photonics Department are always growing with the exploitation and experimentation of our fibre laser sources in new fields with large potential impact. The main new applications that are under strong development at the moment are:

• THz imaging and spectroscopy,
• Material processing,
• Ultra-fast material characterization activities.

In all cases the aim is to exploit the current developments in short and ultrashort pulsed sources and at the same time to demonstrate the potentialities of our sources.
